Hampton by Hilton opens in Bristol

A 186-bedroom Hampton by Hilton has opened in Bristol following a £20m investment.

Located in York House, a converted 1960s office block on the corner of Bond Street and York Street, the hotel will be managed by Focus Hotels Management.

Imran Ali is the general manager of the hotel, which has created 45 jobs.

"Our location on Bond Street and proximity to the bottom of the M32 and Cabot Circus makes this new hotel a key asset for the city," he said. "To bring back to life a building that had stood empty for many years is also good news for the city and will hopefully stimulate the regeneration of more buildings in the area."

The hotel was officially opened by Bristol's Lord Mayor, Councillor Clare Campion-Smith.
