Shiva Hotels to sell four Hilton hotels for £270m

Shiva Hotels is expected to sell four Hilton-branded hotels for a total of around £270m.

The company, founded by former Lehman Brothers derivatives trader Rishi Sachdev, is understood to have appointed JLL and Eastdil Secured to advise on a possible sale of two Hampton by Hilton hotels at Waterloo and Gatwick (pictured), as well as the DoubleTree by Hilton at London ExCel and the Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5, according to The Times.

The group is selling the hotels, with a combined 1,100 rooms, as part of a refocusing on the luxury boutique hotel market, with plans to open Britain's first Curio hotel, Hilton's new boutique brand.

Shiva Hotels is currently developing four unbranded luxury hotels in central London, while upgrading Kingsway Hall hotel, which it acquired a year ago for £96m, according to the paper.
