Grand Union to open partnership concept site in Wapping
Grand Union Islington
London-based bar and restaurant group Grand Union will be opening its ninth site with a new partner concept in Wapping next year.
The new 6,300 sq ft site will be based at the Land Securities new development Thomas More Square and will offer a ‘Concessionary Partners' concept. It will include an artisan coffee shop and a barber shop, with further additions to be announced soon.
The company describes the concept as a "multi-faceted environment not yet seen in the industry".
Grand Union CEO Adam Marshall said: "We've taken inspiration from the top players in partnership concepts. Seven months in the making and we're ecstatic to play a small part in further developing, what in my opinion is the greatest food and drinks capital."
The firm, which is backed by Luke Johnson, has plans to expand across the capital and nationwide.
Grand Union Wapping is expected to open in May 2016.
