Paul Brackley leaves Beaumont hotel as general manager

He joined the 73-bedroom hotel in October 2012 to oversee its development and launch. Previously general manager at the Crowne Plaza London the City, Brackley (pictured centre) started his career as a management trainee with the Savoy Group nearly 30 years ago.

A spokesperson for Corbin & King said: "It was always the intention that following the expiry of the one-year warranty period following opening, Paul would hand over the Beaumont and move on to the group's next hotel project to see it through a similar period of evolution, but we are yet to secure such an opportunity.

"Therefore, by mutual agreement, Paul is leaving the group, having seen the Beaumont through its first full year of operation, as he is looking for a wider and more diverse challenge."

An replacement for Brackley has been appointed who will start in the new year.

"We are not in a position at the moment to divulge who that is, at the request of his current employers," added the spokesperson.

Paul Bates (pictured left - Colony Grill head chef Lee Ward is on the right), who opened the Beaumont as executive chef, left the hotel in March, six months after the opening.
