Cau to open first restaurant in Scotland

Restaurant group Cau is to open its first restaurant in Scotland with the launch next month of Cau Glasgow.

The new site will be the group's 14th overall and the seventh opened in 2015.

The two-floor venue at 222-224 Ingram Street contains a ground floor bar, and a terrace area that offers additional seating outside. It will also offer an express menu from Monday to Friday.

Marketing director Charley Springall said: "It gives me no greater pleasure then to announce that Cau is bringing the vibrancy of Buenos Aires to the North of Great Britain. Residents of Glasgow should prepare themselves for an exciting new flavour on their high street."

Cau is the sister restaurant to the Gaucho group which operates 15 restaurants in the United Kingdom. Launched in 2012, Cau currently comprises 13 sites including Liverpool, Wilmslow, Bristol, Guildford, Cambridge and Amsterdam.
