The property, once the summer home of the lord of several local manors, comprises 10 rooms, a restaurant serving British food, bar and a beer gardenManor House hotel is situated adjacent to the Priory, offering views of the harbour and the 16th-century Lindisfarne castle.
Lying just a few miles off the Northumberland coast, Lindisfarne is regarded by many as the cradle of Christianity in mainland Britain and has been a place of pilgrimage for more than 1,300 years. Holy Island is accessed from the mainland by a causeway and has a strong tourist trade.
The sale of the property is being handled by Christie + Co. Mark Worley, director at Christie + Co's Newcastle office, said: "Manor House represents an extremely rare opportunity to purchase a prime located hotel in a highly desirable tourist destination. With profits approaching the £100,000 mark, the hotel is an excellent performing business which requires little expenditure."
