Glynn Purnell to judge new C4 series Come Dine Champion of Champions
Michelin-starred chef Glynn Purnell is to be a judge on new Channel 4 TV series, Come Dine Champion of Champions, from 1 February.
As its name suggests, the show is set to be a new take on existing programme Come Dine With Me, and will ask three past winners of the show to take on three culinary challenges every day. The winner of each heat will then go through to an even greater cooking challenge, for a chance to be crowned champion.
Contestants will also be judged by former fellow contestants, along with Come Dine With Me voiceover artist Dave Lamb.
Birmingham-based Purnell runs the Michelin-starred Purnell's in the city, as well as Purnell's Bistro (formerly known as the Asquith), and Ginger's Bar, both also in Birmingham.
He has previously taken part in cooking shows including the BBC's Great British Menu, which he has won twice, and in which he appeared as a mentor.
He has also featured on the BBC's Great British Food Revival, Pies and Puds with Paul Hollywood and with Mary Berry, and Michel Roux Jr on Food and Drink. Purnell is also a regular guest chef on Saturday Kitchen with James Martin.
