Graham Hornigold set to turn up the heat at Nestlé Professional Toque d'Or

Graham Hornigold, executive pastry chef for the Michelin-starred Hakkasan Group, will join a panel of experts from across the industry at this year's Nestlé Professional Toque d'Or regional heats.

Hornigold, who previously took part in the competition as a student himself, will lead a culinary dessert masterclass, which the students will be tasked with delivering and serving to guests as part of a special three-course meal.

Hornigold said, "At a time when hospitality talent is at a premium, competitions like Toque d'Or have never been more important to ensuring the future of our industry. For me, being part of Toque was an incredible experience, and one that opened doors in my career. Regardless of who leaves as winners, the students taking part in this year's competition can walk away knowing they have been a part of something great."

George Vezza, managing director at Nestlé Professional added: "Toque d'Or has always been about young people, giving them the opportunity to taste success and motivating them towards a successful career in the Hospitality Industry. With the industry experiencing a skills shortage, the need to inspire talent is more vital than ever and with Graham on board, the competition is set to be one of the best. We are delighted to have him as part of the Toque d'Or team."
