Dublin awaits the arrival of World of Coffee 2016
The organisers of the World of Coffee 2016 are predicting the arrival of over 10,000 people from more than 100 countries for the 23-25 June for the next Dublin World of Coffee.
The show, being held at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) will feature a the Re;Co coffee symposium and the SCAE World Barista championship alongside talks on emerging trends, key industry issues and the latest equipment and services.
Owned and organised by the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), World of Coffee aims to bring coffee professionals and those from beyond the core coffee community from across the globe together for a three-day celebration.
Additionally, SCAE Ireland has launched a new World of Coffee Ambassadors' Club at the event which will feature up to 35 top cafés, restaurants, hotels and bars serving quality coffee in the Irish capital, and support them through a range of training and marketing initiatives.
Paul Stack, operations director with Marco Beverage Systems, president of Speciality Coffee Association of Europe and chair of the SCAE Ireland Strategy Group, said: "We wanted to create a programme which could take energy from SCAE's World of Coffee and leave a positive legacy behind when the event rolls out of town. The Ambassadors' Club ensures Speciality Coffee standards of coffee preparation and service are embedded in the businesses involved and lead the way as a benchmark for excellent coffee service in Dublin."
"By April 2016, the businesses taking part in the World of Coffee Dublin Ambassadors' Club will have received three off-site training days, a one-to-one on-site training session plus three on-site audits completed by an independent auditor."
