Geronimo Inns to open two London pubs as part of Berkeley Homes partnership
Geronimo Inns is to open two new London pubs this month as part of a partnership with Berkeley Homes.
Representing a combined £3.3m investment for the Young's-owned pub group, the new sites will be Leman Street Tavern in Whitechapel and the guard House in Woolwich.
Leman Street Tavern is part of Berkeley Homes' Goodman Fields development and will include 191 covers in five areas. A selection of wine, craft beers, ales and bitters will be available alongside dishes such as slow-roasted quarter shoulder of lamb, ox cheek and bone marrow pie and Dingley Dell pork faggot.
The 220-cover Guard House will open on 12 February on another Berkeley Homes redevelopment in the old Guard House building at the Royal Arsenal Riverside in Woolwich. A £1.8m investment, it is part of the wider Royal Arsenal regeneration.
The pub will serve traditional food, including guinea fowl Kiev; pie, mash and liquor; and rice pudding with raspberry jam.
Geronimo Inns retail director Patrick Dardis said: "It's a great time to be at Geronimo Inns and we're thrilled to be opening two brand new pubs in February. The partnership with Berkeley Homes presents us with some fantastic opportunities and these two locations are the perfect example of that. From the busy city location of the Leman Street Tavern to the historical regeneration project at the Guard House, these are two very different but equally exciting pubs."
