London hotel occupancy in January falls to lowest levels since 2013
London's hotel occupancy rates for January decreased by 3.8% to 66.6% - the lowest level for a January in the capital since 2013.
That is according to preliminary figures from STR Global, which also showed a 1.7% decrease in average daily rate (ADR) to £121.68 and a 5.4% fall in revenue per available room (revpar) to £81.04.
Supply was shown to have increased by 2.8%, while demand dropped by 1.1% compared to the same month last year.
STR Global analysts said the market is continuing to feel the effects of the Paris terror attacks, which took place in November last year.
Negative revpar performance has been reported across all segments, and the steepest declines have come with group and contract travellers, STR said.
