IHG signs Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the signing of Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon. The 92-bedroom hotel will operate under a franchise agreement with St James's Hotel Group and is expected to open in early 2018.

It will be rebranded from the Falcon hotel on Chapel Street, located in Stratford-upon-Avon's town centre and will feature a restaurant, bar and lounge, gym and meeting room.

Anna Corkill, development director for the UK & Ireland, IHG said: "We're delighted to have signed Hotel Indigo Stratford-upon-Avon with long standing partner St James's Hotel Group. The boutique hotel market is the fastest-growing segment in the industry and our pioneering Hotel Indigo brand is going from strength to strength in the UK. The great location of this hotel coupled with its quintessentially British appeal positions it as a destination in its own right."

There are currently 19 Hotel Indigo properties in Europe and a further 11 in the pipeline. Of those, nine Hotel Indigo properties are open in the UK and a further eight are in the pipeline in addition to the Stratford-upon-Avon hotel.
