Hotel Collection group of 10 properties to be sold

The 10 remaining four-AA-star properties within the Hotel Collection are on the verge of being put up for sale for a combined figure of £150m.

The hotels include some of the most high profile regional properties, such as Imperial in Torquay, Billesley Manor in Stratford-upon-Avon, and the Majestic in Harrogate.

Previously known as Puma Hotels, the Hotel Collection was made up of 21 hotels at the time the group was acquired by Lone Star Funds in June 2014.

It has already sold Cheltenham Park, Basingstoke Country, the Palace hotel, Buxton, and the Marine hotel in Troon, adjacent to the iconic Royal Troon golf course in Ayrshire. Recent weeks has also seen the sale of the Lygon Arms in Broadway to billionaire property owners Ian and Richard Livingstone, who have added the hotel to sister hotels, Chewton Glen in Hampshire and Cliveden in Berkshire.

It is expected that an official announcement of the sale of the Hotel Collection, which will be handled by Savills, will be announced next week.
