George Lyon replaces Anna Haugh-Kelly as head chef at London House

George Lyon is replacing Anna Haugh-Kelly as head chef at Gordon Ramsay Group's London House restaurant in Battersea.

Lyon's appointment coincides with the reopening of London House following a makeover, which was part of a wider strategy to transform the restaurant from a formal, fine dining establishment into a more informal, neighbourhood-oriented bar and restaurant with a new menu created by Lyon.

Lyon joined the London House team two years ago. He first made his name at Pinnochios restaurant, quickly gaining a reputation for his experimental style with flavours and ingredients. After honing his skills as chef de partie at Lemon Tree Trattoria, Lyon joined Gordon Ramsay Group in 2011 where he specialised in modern European cuisine, first at Savoy Grill and Maze Grill, before moving to London House in 2014.

In a statement Gordon Ramsay Group said: "A versatile chef, George rapidly moved up the ladder. And now his undeniable natural ability and hand in developing the restaurant's signature dishes using fresh and seasonal ingredients have been recognised in his appointment as head chef of London House."

She confirmed that Haugh-Kelly had left London House, adding that her departure was not linked to London House's change in culinary style.
