Former operator of Raffles and Libertine nightclubs to open MeatUP

A casual British BBQ restaurant called MeatUP is set to open in London's Wandsworth Town in June.

MeatUP will be run by owner Sachin Khanna, who previously operated London nightclubs Raffles and Libertine.

The venue will offer quality produce from sustainable sources with a British menu featuring aged steaks, fresh lobster, shellfish, ribs, burgers and rotisserie chicken, alongside lighter options.

There will also be a late night bar along with live entertainment and a floor to ceiling bar.

Khanna will draw upon his nightlife experience to implement a programme of live music and DJs, taking guests from daytime dining to night time drinking with an extensive Prosecco list sourced from Bibendum, a selection of craft beers from Meantime Brewery and classic cocktails.

The venue has been designed by Keane Designs, which has also worked with Burger & Lobster and Manchester House. The design shows off urban features such as bare brick and repurposed materials that channel downtown Manhattan.

MeatUP is separated into a dining room with kitchen counter seating and communal dining (50 covers), a bar area with counter top seating (37 covers) and outside seating (6 covers).
