Malmaison
Boutique hotel brand Malmaison has completed a refurbishment of its Reading hotel. The venue, which sits alongside the railway station, now includes a newly renovated Chez Mal bar, brasserie and reception area. The Chez Mal features new menus and a range of cocktails amid a setting of low-hanging bulbs, exposed brickwork, natural wood finishes and banquette seating.
Paul Roberts, chief executive at Malmaison Hotel du Vin, said: "We are delighted to unveil the newly refurbished Malmaison Reading. With the new Chez Mal bar and brasserie, guests and visitors will experience sumptuous food and drink in stunning settings. We are hugely proud of what we have to offer to those coming to Malmaison Reading, which is such a great, fun and vibrant city."

A Wanted Man
An ‘espresso canteen' has opened on the King's Road in west London. It serves artisan coffee alongside a health-focused menu created by two Michel Bras-trained chefs, who have come to London from Paris.

Boho
Boho has opened in Camden in north London, offering classic cocktails and British food including bar snacks such as pulled pork croquettes with barbecue mayonnaise and fish goujons. It also hosts live music and DJs.

Cottons Caribbean Restaurant
Cottons Caribbean Restaurant and Salon de Rhum has opened its new flagship restaurant in London's Notting Hill. It boasts a sky-blue exterior and a ground floor bar with over 300 varieties of rum. The main Glass House restaurant is at the rear of the venue, which also has a large self-contained private dining space. The original Cottons opened in Camden over 30 years ago, while Boxpark Cottons in Shoreditch launched over three years ago.
