ExCeL London launches hospitality brand
ExCeL London has launched a catering brand with Levy Restaurants UK as part of their extended partnership and redevelopment of restaurants at the venue.
Branded ExCeL London Hospitality, it will take over hospitality that previously came under the Leith's event catering brand.
The ExCeL team will work with event organisers and exhibitors across the venues to provide services such as gala dinners, event restaurants, stand catering and retail catering.
In the past year, the venue has undergone a multi-million pound redevelopment including the introduction of new in-house brands as well as a range of high street names.
Food and drink sites already open include the Bridge (pictured), an American-style restaurant serving breakfast and lunch; a Burgers & Dogs outlet; and coffee shop and bakery E16.
Over the next few months several more restaurants will be developed including white label units, which can be themed and tailored to individual event audiences, and a sports bar.
James Mark, executive director at ExCeL London, said: "The launch of the new ExCeL London Hospitality brand reflects ExCeL's vision of food and drink as an integral element in achieving successful event outcomes.
"ExCeL is already the venue of choice for world-leading events and by investing to create exciting new spaces and concepts we are enhancing the visitor experience and helping both event organisers and exhibitors to achieve their objectives."
Kevin Watson, director of catering for ExCeL London Hospitality, added: "Our guests take food very seriously and we have created concepts that reflect what trade and consumer guests are looking for. We have an incredibly talented team at ExCeL London who, under the expert leadership of our executive chef James Buckley, are raising the bar in terms of quality of food and service."
Levy secured a 10-year contract extension at the ExCeL in 2015.
