The Vintage Fish to roll out five-site franchise

JJ Food Service customer the Vintage Fish is to invest £1m in starting a franchise, with four additional sites scheduled to open by 2017.

The fish and chip shop, which opened this year in Blackheath, south-east London, provides a retro-modern take on traditional fish and chips, with leather seats for customers to wait on while watching music videos on a 1950s-style black & white TV.

Owner Huseyin Ozdemir said: "We've taken one of the nation's most loved meals and given it a contemporary twist and the response from customers has been fantastic."

JJ Food Service will be supplying the new sites; last year it announced a sourcing and supply-chain agreement whereby Unique Seafood's London depot and South West depot would be merged into the JJ distribution network, enabling a consistent, reliable supply of high-quality, competitively priced fish.
