Amaris Hospitality to invest £24m in three hotels
Hotel management group Amaris Hospitality is to extend three of its hotels as part of a £24m project to expand properties in key locations.
The extension programme will add 237 rooms to the group, which has some 13,500 rooms in its 74 strong portfolio. Amaris Hospitality has so far spent £124m rebuilding and repositioning 23 hotels in the group, with further projects expected.
Chief executive John Brennan said: "The UK hospitality sector is experiencing positive momentum, with the Amaris Hospitality Group making excellent progress on its previously announced business plan. We're are therefore committing an extra £24m to add 237 rooms to three landmark hotels.
"The company continues to trade very well, with further potential to grow the Jurys Inn brand in key UK cities, including other potential extensions. We are also currently in advanced discussions on a number of exciting new development and acquisition projects and look forward to announcing these plans in due course."
Amaris Hospitality was founded by Lone Star last year to grow a portfolio of hotels under a number of international brands such as Hilton, Doubletree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn from Hilton Worldwide; Mercure and MGallery from AccorHotels; and Jurys Inn.
