MOD Pizza announces second UK site

US pizza brand MOD Pizza has announced it will be opening a second UK site in Brighton in the second week of August 2016.

MOD was founded by Scott and Ally Svenson and was brought to the UK in a joint-venture with Sir Charles Dunstone and Roger Taylor. They are planning to have a total of five UK sites by the end of 2016, and further expansion is planned for 2017.

At MOD, customers can build their own pizza or salad. Regardless of pizza toppings or salad ingredients, the price is always £7.47.

Sir Charles Dunstone, the Carphone Warehouse co-founder who brought burger chain Five Guys to Britain, said: "Brighton is one of the most community-driven cities in the UK and we think that matches perfectly with MOD's care and community ethos. We're not just talking about pizza coming to Brighton, we're talking about a fresh way of thinking."
