Hotel Café Royal strengthens management team
Hotel Café Royal has promoted François-Xavier Schoeffer to hotel manager and taken on Benjamin Hofer as F&B director and Hendrik Hübner as front of house manager.
FranÁ§ois-Xavier Schoeffer joined Hotel Café Royal in 2013 as director of operations. His previous experience in the luxury hospitality sector includes management roles at Hotel Café Royal's sister property, Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, and director of operations at Parisian Hotel Lutetia. Schoeffer was born in France, where he studied hotel marketing and management, and he has also worked at several hotels in France, including Hotel Martinez, Cannes and the Westin Paris.
Benjamin Hoffer brings extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, having worked as a consultant on a number of London restaurants, including Nuno Mendes's Viajante. Hofer has also worked for Maybourne Hotel Group as restaurant director, where he played a key role in the opening of the Michelin-starred Fera at Claridge's.
Front of house manager Hendrik Hubner joins Hotel Café Royal from Claridge's, where he worked for five and a half years in roles including front office manager and reception manager. Hubner brings international hotel experience to his new role, having worked as duty manager at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa and several properties in his native Germany.
MD Thomas Kochs welcomed the appointments, and said: "Our people are the most valuable asset we have in the hotel and I wholeheartedly believe that the team is the foundation on which future developments at Hotel Café Royal are built. I am so happy to welcome these two key members to the team and for FranÁ§ois to take the next step in his career."
