JJ Food Service to open three new UK sites
National wholesaler JJ Food Service has invested £15m to open three new branches in Dagenham, Newcastle upon Tyne and Leicester, which are scheduled to be fully operational in the autumn.
The Dagenham branch (pictured), just nine miles from the city centre, is a state-of-the-art purpose-built site located by the A13 near the Thames. At 26,300 sq ft and 12m high it is the tallest of the wholesaler's 11 branches and the third to be fitted with solar panels.
The Newcastle site (37,000 sq ft) is just one mile from the city centre, while the Leicester branch (32,000 sq ft) is three miles west of the city centre.
Mustafa Kiamil, chief executive officer at JJ Food Service, said: "Moving near the hearts of these cities will bring our business closer to customers, helping them to make great savings when they click and collect."
The branches will be open every day for collection, including weekends and bank holidays. Next day deliveries will be available for all orders placed before 9pm.
