Keynote speakers confirmed for lunch! food-to-go trade show
Rod McKie, CEO of Welcome Break; Caroline Cromar, group director of food at Pret A Manger; and Vincent McKevitt, MD of Tossed have been confirmed to speak at the lunch! food-to-go trade show, which takes place on 21-22 September 2016 at London's Business Design Centre.
Over 20 free business seminars will be on offer for guests to attend including keynotes, interviews, research and panel discussions.
Cromar will share her specialist knowledge during her exclusive interview, where she will give insight from over 10 years working within Pret's management team, including Pret's first campus shop, at the University of Exeter, the first pop-up vegetarian-only store in London's Soho, and the imminent launch of its first motorway service shop.
Mckie said: "I think it is more appropriate than ever that we have an opportunity to attend ‘lunch!', as lunch itself is just becoming an amazing dynamic entity in its own right. People's eating and drinking habits are evolving so rapidly that it is important to understand the needs and wants of our customers and the speed at which they are changing."
Reacting to the growing demand for contactless payment, Tossed has announced the opening of the first cashless restaurant in Europe. McKevitt will discuss the concept behind the tablet software now used in many of his stores around London, and plans for rolling out self-service kiosks across the brand.
