Former Soho House Group commercial director Chris Miller has launched a new restaurant investment and advisory service called White Rabbit Fund.
The fund aims to help innovative entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality and will provide not just capital but also the experience and support of seasoned restaurateurs and bar owners.
White Rabbit Fund will offer early stage investments of £200,000 to £2m into groups with zero to 10 sites, and has already made its first investment in Kricket, a modern Indian small plates and cocktails concept that is set to launch its second London restaurant in Soho at the end of the year.
Miller, who is managing director of the business, said: “What Silicon Valley is for technology, London has become for creative food concepts, and our mission is to back the very best out there”.
“Customers are increasingly discerning, and their growing expectations mean they are looking way beyond the big chains for genuine creativity and quality. Even at the top end of the market, there’s a clear move away from stuffy ‘white table cloth’ fine dining. Our role is to help distil these trends into the world-beating, scalable, food businesses of tomorrow.”
In addition to funding, the business will offer financial management, budgeting, property sourcing, operational expertise, legal assistance, expansion planning and debt structuring.
