Discover the wild side of Alaska salmon with Dhruv Baker

Alaska salmon, from the wild waters of Alaska, is among the highest quality in the world. In a special free showcase event, The Caterer and Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), together with chef Dhruv Baker, are offering you the chance to taste five distinctive species at a unique tasting, with wine pairings.

The tasting session, on 15 August in London's Covent Garden, will give chefs the opportunity to experience the wildly contrasting flavours and textures of the salmon species. From flavour to colour to cooking technique, every species has singular qualities making it suitable for particular menus, recipes and occasions.

Guests will be able to hone their tasting skills with direction and sample dishes from Alaska seafood expert and ambassador Dhruv Baker (MasterChef winner 2010) and will be offered an alternative approach to flavour exploration with ASMI's original salmon sommelier concept - led by an experienced sommelier to pair Alaska salmon canapés with wines to distinguish each individual taste.

"Having a sustainable and constant source of quality fish is important and these sessions will address this need, demonstrating the quality of frozen-at-sea salmon."

The event will take place at the Icetank, 5-7 Grape Street, London WC2H 8DW from 2.30pm to 5.30pm on 15 August 2016.
