Hobart Warewash manager to compete in 240-mile cycle challenge
Chris Birch, marketing manager at Hobart Warewash, is to compete in the Springboard Charity's Team Velo challenge, to raise money for young and disadvantaged people in the industry.
Birch has taken part in two cycle challenges for charity in the past, completing Team Velo Challenge in 2015, and in 2011 he cycled almost 400 miles from Paris to Peterborough.
He aims to raise £500 for the charity.
The challenge, which is supported by Pullman Hotels and in partnership with Sky, will see 25 cyclists travel 240 miles from London to Paris 22-24 September.
Alison Dolan, deputy managing director for Sky Business, said: "We're delighted to be supporting this fantastic challenge, which helps to raise vital funds for the charity to help positively change the lives of many in the hospitality industry. We are looking forward to participating and sharing in what is sure to be a highly motivating experience for all involved."
