Benugo to open in Oxford Street Topshop
British food business Benugo is launching a café in London's Oxford Street Topshop, the fashion brand's global flagship store.
From 24 August, the café will offer coffee and locally-sourced seasonal food in the newly remodelled area situated on the shop's basement floor. It will be Benugo's first clothes store outlet, and as well as new elements such as bespoke packaging, menus and custom feature walls, staff will have Benugo-Topshop uniforms that will update every season.
Between 25-27 August branded coffee cups will be handed out outside the store that can be exchanged for £1 coffees.
The company recently pulled out of deals to run three north London cafés, including the Parliament Hill café on Hampstead Heath, in the face of rising public opposition.
Ben Warner, Benugo founder, said: "This is an exciting opportunity for us to bring our finest-quality coffee and delicious food to Topshop customers, every day. With the aim of bringing great British food and fashion together, this isn't simply a café within a store. For us, Topshop is an iconic British brand that reflects our very own values, forming an ideal brand partnership."
