Benugo opens first site in Wales
British food business Benugo has launched its first site in Wales with last week's opening of the Café in Cardiff's John Lewis.
The Café by Benugo, situated on the first floor of the department store, offers barista-made coffee, sandwiches, deli lunches and afternoon tea.
It is open for breakfast, lunch and light snacks and serves a range of daily specials including salads, oven baked dishes and treats from the Benugo bakery.
John Lewis opened its first Café by Benugo in the flagship store on Oxford Street last year and has since opened one in its Norwich branch.
Ben Warner, Benugo founder, said: "This is a very exciting time for us as we open our third John Lewis site and bring our unique offering to the shoppers of Cardiff.
"As a brand that shares like-minded values to Benugo's, we are delighted to see our relationship with John Lewis grow.
"The Café will serve freshly prepared, high-quality food, designed to suit all customer's needs. Whether shoppers want a quick grab-and-go option, or a more relaxed, leisurely bite to eat before or after a day shopping, we're confident that we will offer a real food experience."
Cliff Vanstone, head of branch, John Lewis Cardiff, added: "It's great to continue to develop our in-store experience with the addition of the Café by Benugo Café, and the investment here in Cardiff shows John Lewis' commitment to the city.
"Shoppers have previously welcomed the introduction of new and exciting places for them to refresh and refuel and we're confident that our customers will enjoy our new Benugo Café."
Benugo will also open its first clothes store outlet in London's Oxford Street Topshop tomorrow (24 August).
Founded in 1998 by brothers Ben and Hugo Warner, Benugo is part of hospitality company Westbury Street Holdings (WSH).
Parent company WSH also has BaxterStorey, Holroyd Howe, Caterlink, Portico and Searcys within its portfolio.
