Italian pizzeria Enzo reveals plans to expand to Manchester

Independent Italian restaurant Enzo in Nantwich, Cheshire, is planning to open a second site in Manchester.

The award-winning eaterie has put in an application for a unit on Fountain Street in Manchester city centre.

The restaurant will open Monday to Friday from 7am until midnight, according to the application.

The original site was a finalist in this year's Italian Awards in the Best Pizza category. The concept for the restaurant, according to Enzo's website, is a fusion of Italian cuisine, the Australian coffee scene and a homage to British baking.

Owners James Skade and Carrie Slater opened Enzo in honour of a bus driver, who the restaurant is named after.
