New burger concept Griddle and Shake plans Nottingham launch

Nottingham chef and entrepreneur, Ed Halls, is set to open a new burger restaurant concept Nottingham.

Griddle & Shake which is due to launch in November in Fletcher Gate, is the first of a planned chain.

"I've chosen Nottingham as my first location for the Griddle & Shake brand due to it being such a vibrant and foodie city.

"I can't wait to introduce everybody to the brand in November and to our bigger and better burgers, customisable shakes and unique menu offering."

Competition will be fierce with an Annie's Burger Shack, a contender for Britain's Best Burger, in the same city.

Halls is partnering with local businesses including interior designer, Tracey Annable, who is creating a chilled vibe for the restaurant interior and Fruit Basket, based in West Bridgford, who will supply all the fresh fruit and vegetables.

The restaurant will offer a wide range of food and drinks in addition to burgers with unlimited toppings. Craft beers from sustainable brewer, Freedom Brewery, will be offer in addition to Kopparberg ciders, Brewdog Punk IPA, and a variety of bottomless soft drinks.
