Grand Union looking for second Trade Union site
London bar and restaurant group Grand Union is looking to open a second Trade Union concept following the success of its launch in Wapping in June.
The collaboration includes speciality coffee house Vagabond, male grooming brand Drakes of London, pizza offering Bushwick Pizza Co and florist Maua London.
The businesses will also be part of the new venture and will offer packages such as pizza rolling sessions, coffee workshops and gin cocktail tasting masterclasses.
Grand Union CEO Adam Marshall said: "The feedback we've received about Trade Union has been interesting and almost all positive.
"People like the idea of combining a bar experience alongside other day-to-day activities like grabbing a great coffee or getting their beard trimmed."
He added: "I was nervous people would find it hard to get their heads around the idea, however that's not the case.
"What we've found is that people want to experience… new concepts and want to be wowed."
The Wapping partner concept occupies 6,300 sq ft at the Land Securities development at Thomas More Square.
Earlier this year Grand Union posted a 21% increase in profits as it celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The firm reported an 11.4% rise in revenue to £8.1m for the year to 26 March 2016.
In 2013 it attracted investment firm hospitality entrepreneur Luke Johnson, the former chairman of PizzaExpress.
Grand Union has plans to expand across the capital and nationwide.
