The Curlew restaurant up for sale

The Curlew restaurant in Bodiam, East Sussex is up for sale.

The former coaching inn, owned by Mark and Sara Colley, opened in 2009 under head chef Neil McCue.

It won a Michelin star in 2011, before McCue's departure in September 2012, and continued to hold one under McCue's successors Andrew Scott and Tony Parkin, although the star was deleted in the 2016 Guide.

The restaurant was a winner of Sussex's Best Dining Experience in 2012 and 2015, and was a finalist in 2016 under current head chef Michael Mealey.

The 64-cover restaurant has an open pass view of the kitchen and a garden seating 32. Property agent Christie + Co is marketing the restaurant off an asking price of £695,000.
