London Marriott announces final phase of multi-million pound refurb

The London Marriott Hotel Regents Park has announced the final phase of its multi-million pound investment programme, which will see its bedrooms transformed to align with the newly renovated lobby, executive lounge, and meetings and events space.

The 308-bedroom hotel, owned by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and run by Marriott, recently began its extensive bedroom refurbishment in partnership with Anita Rosato Interior Design, and is due for completion at the end of July 2017.

With the introduction of seven new rooms, Apple TV, international power outlets and walk-in raindance showers, the investment will see changes to both the configuration and interior design.

As part of the refurbishment, the hotel's new meetings and events space is being redesigned by ICA for the end of the month.

An additional four meeting rooms are being added to the existing lobby level space and the hotel's Primrose Hill event space will be transformed to introduce natural daylight into the design. The room will offer a capacity of up to 300 people, equipped with technology including remote control projectors and screens, as well as an integrated sound and PA system. The first hotel-based Carluccio's restaurant also opened earlier this year on the lobby level.

General manager of the hotel Tony Owen said: "This is a really exciting development for the hotel and we can't wait to show our guests the new bedrooms and events space. The needs of the modern traveller are changing and we wanted to ensure that our offering fell in line with these demands. With constant adaptations to technology and the increasing importance of wellness, it's paramount that we deliver the very best experience and this investment is part of a wider commitment to provide guests with a contemporary, inspiring and accommodating stay."
