Loungers close to hitting 100 sites

Café/bar/restaurant group Loungers is set to reach 100 sites by early next year, as it announced a raft of new openings late this year and into 2017.

The business, run by Nick Collins and founded in 2002 by friends Dave Reid, Alex Reilley and Jake Bishop, will open Novello Lounge, a 3,200 sq ft site that has received a £550,000 investment, in Southwater Square in Telford on 21 September.

After that will follow launches in Northampton, Staines, Oldham, Mumbles and Cheadle as well as a 16th Cosy Club, which will open in Liverpool One in early December, taking the overall openings total for 2016 to 20.

The business is understood to have signed deals on a further 20 sites and that the group will reach the milestone of 100 sites by March/April next year.

Speaking about the forthcoming openings, Loungers CEO Nick Collins said, "Novello Lounge in Telford is our 14th opening this year and the pipeline remains very strong looking ahead into 2017 and 2018 for both brands".
