Cameron House to undergo multi-million pound refurbishment

Cameron House, the five-AA-star, 132-bedroom hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland, has announced it will be undergoing a multi-million pound renovation.

The hotel has already revealed the results of a £3m refurbishment, the first stage of a year-long renovation. The completed renovation focussed on the Cameron Grill and Boathouse restaurants, the Great Scots bar and the marina; revamping the hotel's food and beverage offering and public spaces.

The hotel was sold to American private equity firm KSL Capital Partners for £70m in November 2015.

A new cocktail bar adjoining the Grill restaurant has also opened, with the expansion of the Great Scots Bar with additional tables and new seating overlooking the loch.

Public spaces including the swimming pool and meeting rooms have also been upgraded, with four new chandeliers in the reception area.

Resort director Andy Roger said: "This work represents the start of an exciting multi-million pound investment. We feel the changes celebrate the resort's setting and bring a new level of luxury to our offering. Our new-look interiors match the warmth of our hospitality, and with more spaces for visitors to sit, press pause and enjoy a taste of Scotland, the feedback from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive."
