Hotel Forum: The secrets behind Soho House's latest hotel
London's most ambitious hotel project this year will be explored at the Hotel Forum, offering delegates an unrivalled insight into the philosophy and business framework behind Soho House.
In an in-depth interview the Ned managing director Gareth Banner (pictured) will share the plans for the 252-bedroom Soho House & Co hotel, which will open in the former headquarters of the Midland Bank in Poultry next year.
He will explain how the ambitious hotel project will aim to channel the mood of the 1920s and 1930s in its design, the focal point of which will be the former grand banking hall connected to seven restaurants.
Taking place at Kings Place, London, on 20 October 2016, the Hotel Forum is a half day event designed to arm hotel managers and aspiring managers with the latest thinking and inspiration.
Joining Banner on the agenda will be Chewton Glen managing director Andrew Stembridge, who will explain the key features that encourages his peers to vote it number one in the 2016 Hoteliers' Hotels Top 100.
Meanwhile, a panel of top hoteliers will discuss the challenge of recruiting and retaining staff, particularly in the wake of the Brexit vote. Marriott's Jan Marshall, Serena von der Heyde from Georgian House Hotel, Principal people development director Sean Wheeler and the Zetter Group hotel director Graham Copeman will explain how they develop their teams and ensure they remain loyal.
The Caterer editor Amanda Afiya said: "The second Hotel Forum is a must attend event for any hotel employee with management aspirations and those looking to benchmark themselves against the best. In a packed half day our inspirational speakers will deliver business insight and actionable ideas to take back to your operation."
Tickets for the event, to be held on 20 October at King's Place, King's Cross, London, cost £119 per head. They are available now from www.hotel-forum.co.uk
