Sirha to host Bocuse d'Or and Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie
Hospitality trade show Sirha will once again host the grand finals of the Bocuse d'Or and Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie.
The show, held from 21-25 January 2017 at the Lyon Exhibition Hall in Lyon, France, will showcase producers and buyers from across the foodservice industry. More than 189,000 visitors and 3,000 exhibitors and brands from more than 130 countries are expected to attend.
There are 11 sectors planned for the show, including food and drink products; baking and pastry making; confectionery; tableware; materials and equipment; services; wine; cafés and bars; technology and service; dining room and hospitality equipment; and transport.
Special show features will include a Food Studio, dedicated to culinary experiments and innovations, along with a web TV set - sirha-tv.com - featuring discussions, demonstrations and conferences. There will also be a new Catering Trades Village, a specialist artisan zone featuring a programme of demonstrations and roundtables; and the Wine Bar, where visitors can discover and taste regional wines from France and discover trends in interior decoration.
The internationally renowned Bocuse d'Or competition, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017, brings together 24 of the most promising and talented young chefs of their generation. The challenge is to prepare a series of creations in just over five hours in front of a live audience and before a jury composed of chefs. The final will be held on 24-25 January.
Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie celebrates the culinary prowess of the world's leading pastry chefs.
