Hooper has also represented the industry in trade associations including the British Hospitality Association and the British Services Association as well as the Springboard Charity as a member of the board of trustees.
Meanwhile, independent caterer Bartlett Mitchell scored a hat trick of awards as did BaxterStorey and Compass Group, which saw its sports and leisure business, Levy Restaurants, and executive dining division, Restaurant Associates, both honoured on the night.
Neil Porter, operations director south for BAM Facilities Management and honorary chair of the events group for the Lead Association for Catering in Education (LACA) walked away with the Extra Mile Award for his contribution to the education sector.
