Michael Lloyd appointed executive head chef of Tylney Hall hotel
Tylney Hall hotel in Rotherwick, Hampshire, has appointed Michael Lloyd as executive head chef.
Lloyd joins the two-AA-rosette Oak Room restaurant from the three-AA-rosette Compleat Angler restaurant in the four-red-AA-star, 64-bedroom Macdonald Compleat Angler hotel in, Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
He said: "I felt like I had achieved all that I could at the Compleat Angler and was ready for a new challenge, so when the opportunity arose to join the team at Tylney Hall I jumped at the chance. I've always liked working in country house hotels and places with history and Tylney Hall is the perfect new challenge for me."
Lloyd has already begun working on updating the evening à la carte and lunch menus, bringing his individual, modern style of cooking to the hotel.
General manager of Tylney Hall Sam Aziz added: "I'm delighted to welcome Michael to the team at Tylney Hall and I am very excited to see how he will enhance our F&B offering across the board. The hotel celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and it is the perfect time for us to look at how we can continue to improve our service, quality and customer experience. With Michael leading the team in the kitchen, we can ensure all of our guests enjoy first-class dining that will further enhance the traditional luxury experience we are already known and loved for."
