Yotel launches new Yotelair brand
Affordable luxury hotel group Yotel is rebranding its airport hotels under the new Yotelair moniker to differentiate between the company's city and airport hotels.
The company announced the rebranding as it opened the 80-bedroom Yotelair in Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport, earlier this week. Like the brand's other airport hotels, the Paris Yotelair is bookable by the hour, offers early check-in and baggage drop off the night before a flight, while reception provides up-to-date flight information on flight departures.
Last year the brand announced plans to open 12 new hotels by 2018, including additional properties in the UK. Seven hotels are in development, including an airport site at Changi in Singapore due to open in 2018, and there are confirmed new properties for New York, Miami, San Francisco, Boston and Dubai.
Yotelair's premium rooms (known as cabins) feature space-saving adjustable SmartBeds with Serta gel mattresses. All cabins have ensuite bathrooms with monsoon rain showers, mood lighting and HD TVs that can be connected to guests' own devices.
Yotel engaged specialist brand strategy agency The Gild on the development of the new Yotelair brand architecture and strategy.
Hubert Viriot, chief executive of Yotel, said: "It was very important to us to recognise that our Yotel city and airport locations provide different experiences, with our airport hotels designed around the needs of travellers looking for convenience. Yotelair has the essential elements of the Yotel brand: a seamless experience combined with the technology to ensure that you have everything you need and nothing you don't."
