Tender opportunity: Hallé St Peter, Manchester
Hallé St Peter's is the Hallé' Orchestra's rehearsal, recording and event venue in Manchester. The Grade 2 listed building, located in the vibrant area of Ancoats, is a deconsecrated church built in 1859 which had previously fallen in to disrepair.
It has now been redeveloped and restored to its former glory and is a light, airy and beautiful venue ideal for rehearsing, performing, teaching and recording. It is also a perfect event space for weddings, receptions, product launches and exhibitions.
The Hallé Concerts Society has just been granted planning permission to further develop the site. Subject to a successful fundraising campaign, the extension at Hallé St Peter's will create much needed ancillary facilities, fantastic new rehearsal, community and event spaces together with a public facing café sited on fashionable Cutting Room Square in the heart of Ancoats.
Expressions of interest We are inviting expressions of interest from commercial and innovative caterers, café and restaurant operators interested in working in partnership to provide café, bar and events services in the ‘new' Hallé St Peter's from late 2018. This service will have to cover the in-house requirements of the Hallé and its associated ensembles, alongside the public facing café and events catering provision for 200+ guests.
For a copy of the full Expressions of Interest Information Pack and submission requirements please email martin.glynn@halle.co.uk. Formal expressions of interest are to be submitted by Friday 9 December 2016.
For informal discussions please contact Martin Glynn, Hallé Venues and Events Manager on 07508 642744 or email martin.glynn@halle.co.uk
