Roland Fasel, general manager of London’s Dorchester hotel and regional director UK, is to leave the luxury Dorchester Collection early next year “to pursue his career”.
The move was confirmed in a statement from Dorchester Collection chief executive Christopher Cowdray. He said: “Roland Fasel will be leaving Dorchester Collection early next year to pursue his career. We are extremely grateful for Roland’s long-standing contribution to the Dorchester, and for the successful launch of Coworth Park and 45 Park Lane.
“We wish him well in his future endeavours. He will be missed. The search has started for his successor.”
Fasel took on his current role, based at the five-red-AA-star, 250-bedroom Dorchester hotel, in 2008. He had previously worked as general manager of the InterContinental London Park Lane for four years and before that at the Badrutt’s Palace hotel in St. Moritz, as well as for the Four Seasons, Regent Hotels and Shangri-La groups.
In addition to the three UK hotel overseen by Fasel, the Dorchester Collection has a further seven properties, in Paris, Geneva, Milan, Rome, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.
The Caterer was unable to reach Fasel for comment at the time of publication.
