Corus and Regal puts seven hotels up for sale

Corus and Regal is selling seven of its hotels for a combined total of £14.65m.

The hotels range from the five-bedroom Royal Oak pub in Berkshire to the 76-bedroom Carlton Park hotel in Yorkshire. The list also includes the 40-bedroom Feathers hotel in Ludlow, Shropshire.

Corus's property development director, Mike Stevens, said the hotels were being sold as they were "non-core". He said: "They just don't fit into our current thinking."

The seven hotels for sale are:

  • The 40-bedroom Feathers hotel in Ludlow, Shropshire - asking price £1.75m
  • The 76-bedroom Carlton Park hotel in Rotherham, South Yorkshire - asking price £3.25m
  • The 58-bedroom Homestead Court hotel in Welwyn, Hertfordshire - asking price £2.95m
  • The 28-bedroom Roebuck hotel in Buckhurst Hill, Essex - asking price £2.85m
  • The 45-bedroom Star hotel in Worcester, Worcestershire - asking price £1.8m
  • The 24-bedroom Saracen's Head hotel in Great Dunmow, Essex - asking price £1.45m
  • The five-bedroom Royal Oak in Yattendon, Berkshire - asking price £600,000 (leasehold)

Corus and Regal operates more than 90 hotels in the UK, and is part of the Regal Hotel Group - bought in July by London Vista for £88.5m.

Christie & Co is the agent.
