Paul Hickman, Lincat‘s development chef, was one of the judges of the Perrier Young Chef of the Year competition.

Lincat’s involvement was not limited to judging as the company has equipped the kitchens of Lincoln College, where the final cook off took place. Lincat catering equipment at the college includes a series of Opus 700 four burner gas oven ranges.

The winner was Chris Sharman from The Chequers who impressed the judges with his main course of Fenland pork marinated in cider and sage.

Chris wins £100 and a week’s work experience at Raymond Blanc’s “Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons” in Oxfordshire.
