Ex Koffmann's head chef joins Plateau

Restaurant group D&D London has appointed Jeremy Trehout as its new head chef at Plateau restaurant in Canary Wharf in the capital.

Trehout was most recently head chef at Koffmann's at the Berkeley, Pierre Koffmann's restaurant at the Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge.

Trehout moved to London in 2006, at has worked at the Bleeding Heart, La Petite Maison, and Coq d'Argent before working for Koffmann.

He said: "I'm really excited about becoming head chef at Plateau! It's such a beautiful restaurant and I look forward to welcoming both our regular guests, and also appealing to a new crowd with a few exciting changes to the menu."

Koffmann's at the Berkeley is closing at the end of this year as the hotel plans to redevelop the site.

Koffmann, the former chef-patron of the three-Michelin-starred La Tante Claire opened the venue in 2010 in the site of what was previously Gordon Ramsay's Boxwood Café.
