Fairview Hotels has boosted its portfolio with the acquisition of four Novotel properties, for an undisclosed sum.

Located in Coventry (98 bedrooms), Ipswich (101 bedrooms), Manchester West (119 bedrooms) and Wolverhampton (132 bedrooms), the hotels have been bought from Land Securities and AccorHotels. They will be operated by Fairview under a franchise agreement with AccorHotels.

Fairview now has a portfolio of nine hotels, all operating under franchise agreement with AccorHotels' brands, including two Mercure, six Novotel and one Ibis.

Neil Forbes, director of operations at Fairview, said: "We are delighted that the special relationship forged between AccorHotels and Fairview continues to grow."

Fairview has recently entered an agreement with Black & White Hospitality and Marco Pierre White to launch a Marco's New York Italian restaurant at its 109-bedroom Mercure Bloomsbury hotel in London.

According to its most recent financial report, for the year to 31 December 2015, lodged at Companies House, Fairview Hotels recorded a 21% increase in turnover to £14.7m, with a pre-tax loss of £471,000, down from a loss of £741,528 the previous year.
