Ivy Brasserie to open in London Soho
Caprice Holdings is to add another restaurant to its Ivy Collection, with the launch of the Ivy Soho Brasserie on Broadwick Street in London's Soho.
Due to open on 7 February 2017, the 200-cover restaurant will offer all-day dining, seven days a week, across breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks, cocktails and dinner. Thomas Minkley has been appointed as general manager.
The menu will showcase contemporary British dishes including eggs Benedict and Royale for breakfast; brioche crumbed chicken Milanese with fried hen's eggs and black truffle from the all-day menu and melting chocolate bombe with milk foam, vanilla ice-cream and honeycomb centre with hot salted caramel sauce for dessert.
Traditional and unique cocktails created by bar manager Kevin Knee will form the basis of the drinks list, which will include the Social Smoker, featuring rare breed fat-washed Bulleit bourbon stirred with the Ivy Soho Brasserie's sweet vermouth blend, Angostura bitters and liquid hickory smoke poured from a cherry wood smoked carafe; and Dick's Drink a homage to the infamous, late Soho bartender Dick Bradsell and his creation, the Espresso Martini.
The site - designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio - comprises a café lounge area, dining bar, main restaurant and private dining room for 30 to 50 guests. The space will feature artworks by William Blake, who used to reside on Broadwick Street.
In addition to the original Ivy restaurant on West Street, Covent Garden, the Ivy Collection is made up of four grills and brasseries in Covent Garden, Chelsea Garden, Kensington and Bristol; and three cafes in Marylebone, Wimbledon and St John's Wood, with a fourth planned for Cobham in Surrey.
