Flat Cap hotels appoints Steven Tuke as executive chef
Flat Cap Hotels has appointed Steven Tuke as executive chef of the Vicarage in Cranage, Cheshire, and the upcoming site in Knutsford due to open in 2017.
Following four years at the helm at the Oddfellows hotel in Chester, Tuke will take immediate responsibility for the Vicarage freehouse and rooms.
Earlier this year, Flat Cap hotels acquired the former Crown Court in Knutsford which is currently undergoing refurbishment. Tuke will be managing the food operation at the second site in the new year, alongside the Vicarage.
Tuke also brings experience from positions at the Chester Grosvenor, Chester Racecourse, Malmaison hotels, the Individual Restaurant Company, Stanneylands Hotel and Ascot Racecourse.
He said: "I'm delighted to be part of the team at Flat Cap Hotels, we have some exciting plans for the Vicarage and have re-launched the menus, including the afternoon tea which is receiving great feedback. I'm looking forward to putting the restaurant on the map in the region. The focus for the Vicarage is regionally sourced food that tastes delicious and leaves customers with a smile."
The Vicarage was the first property to be launched by Flat Cap Hotels, which was founded by brothers Oliver and Dominic Heywood in 2015.
