Dukes Collection opens in Dubai
Dukes Collection, which owns the five-red-AA-star Dukes London in Mayfair, has launched in Dubai on the west trunk of Palm Jumeirah.
The 273-room hotel opened on 28 December, with six of the 15 floors in operation. The hotel's Great British Restaurant is also open serving British cuisine.
Headed up by executive chef Martin Cahill, the menu includes cod and chips, Lancashire hot pot, Colchester Oysters and Dover sole, and desserts taken from the Home Counties.
Debrah Dhugga, managing director, Dukes Collection, said: "Dubai is an increasingly popular destination for travellers from the UK, especially during the Christmas and New Year period and having the opportunity to begin our soft opening period on 28 December, we didn't hesitate to open our doors."
The remaining work is expected to be completed later this year including; 227 hotel apartments; traditional Northern Indian restaurant Khyber; Tea Lounge; and Cigar Lounge.
