Brakes Catering Equipment continues to grow up north

Last spring leading national wholesaler Brakes enhanced its presence north of the border with the creation of ‘Brakes Scotland', working with some of the country's indigenous suppliers.

This spring the company will further expands with the opening of its specialist equipment supply and projects arm, Brakes Catering Equipment.

Kevin Finlay (pictured), channel head for Brakes Catering Equipment, explained: "In addition to working in partnership with a great number of local authorities across Scotland, we are now involved in tendering for a number of other large contracts, with the support of some of the country's leading equipment manufacturers, such as Falcon and E&R Moffat.

"We are growing our sales force with the addition of new staff and our bespoke projects team is already active across Scotland, is set to become even more conspicuous, providing chefs and caterers from all sectors with expert advice on choosing the right option for their business, whether they are looking for a refresh or a full scale refurbishment.

Tina Carter, marketing manager, Brakes Catering Equipment, added: "A small selection of non-food packaging suppliers, which includes Borders-based RP Adams and Edinburgh manufacturer Vegware, are also helping to ensure that we keep close to the heart of our markets.
